Bullwinkles fundraiser for Azana shooting victims nets over $8,000

BROOKFIELD -- An organizer of a fundraiser held Sunday, November 18th to support the injured and the families of those killed in the Azana Salon & Spa shooting in October told FOX6 News the fundraiser netted $8,500.

Sunday's four-hour fundraiser was held at Bullwinkles (20290 W. Bluemound Road) in Brookfield.

Three were killed and four were injured when Radcliffe Haughton entered the Azana Salon & Spa on a Sunday morning and opened fire, before turning the gun on himself.

The money will be divided and donated to the families of those injured and killed.

Over 40 vendors donated time and a percentage of their proceeds to the seven victims in this shooting.

Additionally, there was musical entertainment, raffle items and a silent auction that included Milwaukee Brewers items, Green Bay Packers items, an iPad, hotel stays, gift certificates and more. 100% of the proceeds of auction and raffle items will benefit the victims.

A representative from the Sojourner Family Peace Center was on hand to provide resources regarding domestic abuse.
