Three adults, two children hurt in Wauwatosa wreck

WAUWATOSA -- Three adults and two children were hurt Wednesday morning, November 21st in a multi-vehicle wreck at Highway 100 and Capitol Dr. in Wauwatosa around 9:30 a.m.

Police say a vehicle that was traveling northbound on Highway 100 struck a southbound vehicle making a left turn to go east onto Capitol Dr. The other vehicles involved were struck after that collision.

The 64-year-old woman in the striking vehicle suffered a broken ankle.

A two-week-old baby in a car seat in the struck vehicle suffered the worst of the crash. That's because the car seat either was ejected or fell out of the struck car. The baby suffered a broken arm, a broken leg  and a fractured skull. That child was taken to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.

Also in that same car, a four-year-old child suffered a concussion and cuts -- and the 25-year-old female driver suffered a concussion along with back and neck pain.

A car stopped at the light facing west on Capitol Dr. was struck following the crash of the first two vehicles and a 21-year-old man in that car suffered neck and back pain.

Debris from the crash also flew around the intersection and struck some other vehicles so that is how six vehicles were involved.

Wauwatosa police are reviewing the crash to see who may be at fault and if any citations may be issued.
