Medical Examiner's report released following infant co-sleeping death

MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office has released its report following the death of a seven-month-old infant found unresponsive on Friday, November 30th in an adult bed by his mother and father, with whom he was sleeping.

The baby boy has been identified as Josziah Ezechial-Willie Alexander.

The Medical Examiner's report indicates the baby was found unresponsive, face down in between the parents on the bed, in a home located near the 2200 block of S. 16th Street in Milwaukee.

The Medical Examiner's report states the baby's mother fed the baby a bottle and then fell asleep in bed with the baby. The baby's mother reported the baby did not have his own crib or Pack 'n Play and therefore, slept in bed with his mother and father. 

The baby's mother woke up to use the bathroom and upon her return, noticed that the baby was not breathing. She alerted the baby's father, who attempted CPR and 911 was called.
