Father of teen allegedly shot over loud music vows to fight law

JACKSONVILLE, Florida (CNN) -- The father of a Florida teenager allegedly shot to death over loud music is vowing to fight the state's 'Stand Your Ground' law.

The suspected shooter in the case says he felt threatened after he asked a vehicle of teenagers to turn down their music.

He is charged with opening fire on the vehicle last month and killing 17-year-old Jordan Davis.

Ron Davis says it's the little things he'll miss the most now that his son Jordan is gone.

"I was so looking forward to helping him shave on Monday. Me standing there while he gets married, and those are the things the immediate things that I'm going to miss that I'm not going to be able to do," Ron Davis said.

The suspect's attorney may use Florida's 'Stand Your Ground' law as a defense in this case.

Davis says the law encompasses a big gray area.

He says it's wrong when an individual can shoot another over a misinterpretation of behavior and get away with it.
