Police investigating shootout at apartment complex near Teutonia, Bobolink

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating a shootout at an apartment complex on Milwaukee's north side early Sunday morning, December 23rd near Teutonia and Bobolink. 

The incident occurred at an apartment building in the 5900 block of N. Teutonia Ave.

Police say two men armed with guns attempted to enter an apartment on the second floor of the building. Individuals inside the apartment exchanged gunfire with the suspects, and the suspects and most of the occupants of the apartment fled before police arrived.

Police say drug paraphernalia was found inside the apartment.

Police say a 51-year-old man suffered a minor injury after being grazed by a projectile. He was treated at the scene.

Police say the investigation into this incident is ongoing.
