MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee police say 20-year-old Patricia Aguirre of Milwaukee was killed in a single vehicle accident that occurred on Christmas night near 35th and Forest Home Ave.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s report indicates the crash occurred just before midnight.

Aguirre’s vehicle was reportedly heading southbound in the left lane on 35th Street towards the intersection of 35th and Forest Home. At some point, the vehicle was turned sideways, possibly after failing to negotiate a bend in the road.

Aguirre’s vehicle then struck a light pole, and the vehicle split into two pieces.

Officials were unaware whether Aguirre was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. They say speed and alcohol may have been factors in this crash.
