Cheap tickets still available for Packers vs. Vikings game

GREEN BAY -- For those who have ever wanted to see the Green Bay Packers play at Lambeau Field -- experts say Saturday is the chance! The Green Bay Packers take on the Minnesota Vikings in the Wild Card playoff game at Lambeau Field on Saturday, January 5th, and ticket sellers say tickets for this game are bountiful and cheap!

"Surprisingly affordable! In fact, a lot of tickets can be had at under $150 a piece right now," Mike Holzberger with Connections Ticket Service said.

Holzberger says suppliers, including season ticket holders seem willing to part with their tickets this time around.

"In today`s world of affordable 60-inch TV and short notice and night games you can see why some people don`t want to go to the games," Holzberger said.

Additionally, Saturday night's forecast in Green Bay calls for freezing temperatures.

Tim Brever said he's one Packers fan looking to take advantage of the good ticket market.

"We feel we got a good deal here," Brever said.

With so many reasonably priced passes available online currently, the concern of Packers Coach Mike McCarthy is that Vikings fans may be eating up the extra tickets.

However, Holzberger says based on what he's seeing, that likely won't be the case.

"We have not seen a lot of Vikings fans here. We have seen a few but not a lot. I think for the most part the Vikings fan isn`t ready to sit in the cold for four hours to watch a game. They do live in the same weather but they watch their games inside," Holzberger said.

Ticket brokers do warn fans to watch out for scams -- particularly on direct sale sites like Craigslist.
