Police: 21-year-old Bianca Vite identified as victim of fatal fire

MOUNT PLEASANT — Mount Pleasant police, with help from the Racine County Medical Examiner’s Office have officially identified 21-year-old Bianca Vite of Pleasant Prairie as the victim in a fatal fire on Christmas Day.

The fire broke out in the 5500 block of 16th Street, and Vite’s body was recovered at the scene. 

Police are investigating this case as a homicide. 

Police say this is an active investigation and they are following up on potential leads. Police say they have identified a person of interest, but no charges have been filed.

Neighbors had told FOX6 News following the fire the home had been vacant for some time. It is unclear at this point why Vite was inside the home at the time of the fire.
