Man charged with 4th OWI after wrong-way driving incident
RACINE -- 41-year-old Clever Escobar of Waukesha has been charged with OWI (4th offense) with a minor child in the vehicle, and general alcohol concentration enhancer after a wrong-way driving incident on Sunday, January 6th.
Escobar was reportedly stopped by a Racine County Sheriff's deputy on the 7 Mile Road off ramp from I-94. Escobar was reportedly heading up the off ramp, driving the wrong way.
According to a criminal complaint in the case, when Escobar was stopped, a deputy noticed Escobar's 15-year-old daughter in the front seat of the vehicle, and a 12-pack of Miller Lite between her feet on the floor.
A deputy also found empty beer cans in Escobar's vehicle.
The criminal complaint indicates Escobar was uncooperative when taken to the hospital for a legal blood draw.
Escobar's previous OWI charges occurred in 1996, 2000 and 2006.
