Bostedt expected to enter guilty plea in wrong-way incident

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Daniel Bostedt is expected to enter a plea of guilty in connection with a wrong-way driving incident that happened in Milwaukee's Mitchell Interchange.

In court on Monday, January 14th, the judge hearing the case against Bostedt adjourned for the projected guilty plea. That is expected to come on Thursday, February 28th.

Bostedt was allegedly drunk and driving southbound in the northbound lanes of I-94 at Edgerton Ave. (near the Mitchell Interchange) in October 2012. Workers in that construction zone managed to get Bostedt to stop. Video of the incident was also captured by traffic cameras within the interchange.

If convicted, Bostedt faces up to 10 years in prison on the recklessly endangering safety charge.
