MILWAUKEE (WITI) — 20-year-old Dajuan Collins faces two counts of felony murder in connection with the deaths of Authur Robinson and Michael Parker.

Robinson and Parker were found fatally shot near 24th and Scott in Milwaukee early Tuesday, January 15th.

The criminal complaint indicates Collins went to a home in the neighborhood to get some money. Collins indicated in an interview with police, that “he was in need of money because his uncle became involved in a fight on New Year’s Day and during that fight his uncle lost $700 which belonged to Collins.”

The complaint indicates Collins hatched a plan to get some cash from a person who he knew had marijuana to sell. The complaint says “Collins stated that the original plan was for them to knock on the door and upon getting in the house, Collins was intending to physically punch the victim causing him to ‘go to sleep.'”

Witness statements in the complaint however, indicate the robbery “went bad” and the two victims ended up getting shot by Collins.

Police say they were able to track down Collins quickly because they recovered his cell phone, which Collins dropped at the scene of the crime.

If convicted, Collins faces up to 35 years in prison.
