31-year-old man shot, wounded on Milwaukee’s north side

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police are investigating the shooting of a 31-year-old man on the city's north side late Saturday night, January 26th.

Officers were called to 45th and Clarke around 9 p.m. Police say the victim was in his home when he heard gun shots. When he exited his home to see what was going on, he was shot once in the chest.

A police officer in the area heard the shots and called into dispatch. Another officer arriving on the scene saw suspects fleeing from the area. After a brief foot chase, two suspects were taken into custody.

The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries and is being treated at a hospital.
