99 live cats removed from home in New York

NEW YORK (CNN) -- In a shocking case of animal cruelty, authorities removed dozens of dead cats and many more live ones from a house in New York.

The gruesome discovery was made at a house in Schoharie County in the town of Wright.

Police rescued 99 live cats from the house.

They found five dead cats and 62 kittens in a freezer at the residence.

Animal rescue officials say they've never seen anything like it.

The house has now been condemned.
