MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The Milwaukee Brewers head to sunny Arizona for Spring Training in just a few weeks, and on Sunday, January 27th, most of the players were on hand in Milwaukee to meet fans as part of the Brewers On Deck program.

Jon Martin and his family are big Brewers fans, so of course, they made their way to the Delta Center in downtown Milwaukee on Sunday afternoon for Brewers On Deck.

At the event, Brewers fans could run the bases, hit the batting cages and test their throwing arms -- but many said the real reason for coming was a chance to meet some of the Brewers players -- like Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun.

The famous Brewers racing sausages were also available -- handing out high fives to the fans.

Brewers fan Kevin Kimmes said he believes this is going to be a good year.

"I think we can definitely contend with the NL Central, and we'll see where it goes from there," Kimmes said.

For most Brewers fans, this sort of unofficial start to the Brewers baseball season is a sure sign winter is rounding third!

The Brewers will play a total of 35 Spring Training and exhibition games in 2013, including 17 at Maryvale Baseball Park in Phoenix and two games at Miller Park.

The Brewers play their last Spring Training game vs. the Chicago White Sox on March 30th, and then take on the Colorado Rockies for opening day at Miller Park on April 1st.
