MADISON (WITI) -- Two Wisconsin kids were reunited with their mother in a special way on Saturday, January 26th.

Zach and Mackenzie Leofilos from Port Edwards were taking part in a cheerleading competition in Wisconsin Dells.

Following their team's performance, the two were called to the front for a special announcement.

Army Specialist April Davis and her boyfriend, Sergeant Kelly Spykerman returned from a year-long deployment in Afghanistan and surprised Zach and Mackenzie!

The kids were pretty excited and surprised. The two were staying with their great aunt while their mom was away.
