64-year-old man charged following wrong-way crash on Hoan Bridge

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- 64-year-old Robert Kieser of Cudahy has been charged in connection with a wrong-way driving incident on the Hoan Bridge on Thursday, February 7th.
Kaiser has been charged with second-degree recklessly endangering safety and OWI (first offense).
The criminal complaint in the case indicates an officer was dispatched to the northbound lanes of I-794 over the Hoan Bridge for a two-vehicle crash.
When questioned by a deputy, the criminal complaint indicates Kieser could not provide his telephone number, and stated he did not know where he entered the freeway.
The criminal complaint indicates Kieser's eyes were red and "glassy" looking, and his breath had an odor of alcoholic beverages. When asked whether he had been drinking, Kieser replied "some."
DOT video showed Kieser had traveled the wrong-way on the expressway for approximately two miles prior to the collision.
The individual Kieser struck, Ismael Garcia, was taken to the hospital with a fractured arm.
A test to determine Kieser's blood alcohol level was performed, and results are pending.
