Fire officials battle blaze near Hi-Hat on city’s east side

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Milwaukee fire officials battled a fire in the 1700 block of Arlington Place that broke out shortly before 6:00 p.m. on Monday, February 11th.

The fire happened near the Hi-Hat Garage and Restaurant.

Fire officials say the fire started in the basement and spread up to the first and second floors.

No one was injured.

Both residents were not home at the time of the fire, and the Red Cross is assisting them.

The estimated cost of damage for the fire is $50,000 dollars.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.
