Chef Feker joins Real Milwaukee to prepare a delicious vegetable salad with pickled cabbage.

IL MITO East’s Roasted Vegetable Salad with Pickled Cabbage
Serves 4

Ingredients for Cabbage
• 1 head red cabbage, sliced thin
• 1 cup apple cider vinegar
• 1 Tbsp sea salt
• 1 Tbsp your favorite pickling spices

Directions for Cabbage
1. Layer cabbage in a tall glass or nonreactive plastic container

2. In a medium sauce pan over high heat, bring vinegar, salt and spices to a rapid boil and then carefully pour the hot liquid through a strainer over the cabbage

3. Let stand until cool.
