MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- You may have noticed you're paying more at the gas pump. Around Milwaukee, the price per gallon as risen nearly 60¢ in the last 30 days.
AAA says gas prices in Wisconsin and metro Milwaukee are higher than the national average right now. More expensive crude oil and refinery issues nationwide are the cause for the spike at the pump.
AAA officials say the price at the pump is expected to peak this spring -- possibly around April. However, it expects the price per gallon will be lower this year than it was in either of the last two years.
