14-year-old girl grazed by bullet near 37th & North in Milwaukee



MILWAUKEE (WITI ) -- A 14-year-old girl was shot and wounded while walking down a street on Milwaukee's north side late Friday night, February 22nd.

Investigators say the shooting happened near 37th and North around 10:15 p.m. The teen received a graze wound in the shooting.

"I had saw the blood on the back of her pants, and they said they someone had shot her," a neighbor told FOX6 News.

The circumstances of the shooting are not known.

But as police investigated the shooting, police say shots were heard just a block away.  One neighbor told FOX6 News as many as 15 shots were fired.  Milwaukee police surrounded a home near 37th and North.  An armored vehicle and a SWAT Team were seen in front of the house.  Eventually, one person was arrested.

It is unknown if the two incidents are related.
