Arrest warrant issued for 21-year-old Racine man

MOUNT PLEASANT (WITI) -- The Wisconsin Department of Corrections has issued a warrant for the arrest of 21-year-old Kevantae Oliver of Racine after an alleged domestic abuse incident involving a stolen gun.

According to police, officers received a civil complaint regarding two individuals arguing in an apartment Wednesday afternoon, February 27th in the 1300 block of Oakes Road.

Police say after the initial complaint from a citizen not involved in the incident, a woman called 911 indicating that she was beaten and psychically assaulted. The woman further indicated that the male she was arguing with put a gun to her head.

When officers arrived on the scene they made a tactical entry into the residence and  located the victim -- the suspect had fled the scene.

According to authorities, a .45 caliber handgun was recovered from the residence -- which was later discovered to be stolen from Kankakee, Illinois during a burglary.

On Thursday, February 28th The Wisconsin Department of corrections issued a warrant of the arrest of Oliver.

The following charges have been referred to the Racine County District Attorney's Office against Oliver: reckless endangering safety, possession of a firearm by a felon, receiving stolen property, battery/domestic abuse, disorderly conduct/domestic abuse.
