Badgers seniors suffer from senioritis in bad loss to Purdue

MADISON (WITI)---For the first time under Bo Ryan, the Badgers sent their seniors out with a loss on Senior Day. Purdue overcame a 13 point deficit and beat Wisconsin by 13 points, 69-56. The Badgers had won their last 11 Senior Days coming into Sunday's game.

Ben Brust hit a 3 point shot in the first half giving the Badgers a 32-19 lead. But after that, Wisconsin went cold. They would miss their final 18, 3 point shots as they finished 6 of 28 from behind the arc. The cold shooting also helped the Boilermakers take a 16-1 run in the second half, turning a 6 point deficit into a 9 point lead at 54-45.

Jared Berggren led the Badgers with 13 points and Ryan Evans added 10 in his final game at the Kohl Center.

Wisconsin falls to 20-9 overall and 11-5 in the Big 10. The loss makes it nearly impossible for the Badgers to win the Big 10 regular season title as they are now tied with 4 other teams in second place, 2 games behind Indiana.

They finish the regular season at Michigan State, who lost to Michigan Sunday, and Penn State.
