Four more shows for 2013 Wisconsin State Fair announced

WEST ALLIS (WITI) --  The music selection will be as diverse as ever at this year’s State Fair as four more of the 11 shows have now been announced for the Main Stage presented by Potawatomi Bingo Casino.

The 2013 Wisconsin State Fair, presented by U.S. Cellular, will take place Thursday, Aug. 1 through Sunday, Aug. 11 at Wisconsin State Fair Park.

Heart will jumpstart the Fair as they perform on opening night, Thursday, Aug. 1.

Sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson first showed the world that women can rock when Heart stormed the charts in the ‘70s with hits like "Crazy on You", "Magic Man" and "Barracuda. " They continued topping the charts through the ‘80s and ‘90s with hits like "These Dreams" and "What About Love. "

More than 35 million albums later and 35 years after their first big hit, Heart was back on the Billboard charts in 2010 with their "Red Velvet Car" album. 2012 brought not only a new album, but also an autobiography and a performance of "Stairway to Heaven" during the Kennedy Center Honors tribute to Led Zeppelin that brought the audience to its feet.

The year also brought well-deserved honors, including a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and an induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, which will be celebrated at an induction ceremony on April 18, 2013. The Heart show will begin at 7:30 p.m. with an opening act to be announced in the near future. Tickets will be $35 and $25.

The Happy Together Tour will return to the Fair and show off their updated 2013 lineup on Sunday, Aug. 4. This year’s program will feature THE TURTLES featuring FLO & EDDIE, CHUCK NEGRON formerly of THREE DOG NIGHT, GARY PUCKETT & THE UNION GAP, MARK LINDSAY former lead singer of Paul Revere & the Raiders and GARY LEWIS & THE PLAYBOYS. The evening will take fans back to the cool rock of the ‘60s, complete with plenty of timeless classics and universal hits. The Happy Together Tour 2013 will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets for the concert will be $35 and $25.

Christian artists Hillsong LIVE will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 7. Hillsong LIVE is the congregational expression of worship from Hillsong Church in Sydney, Australia - a local church with global influence. Their music captures the heart and sound of Hillsong Church globally and represents the coming together of the Hillsong worship team from around the world; including Reuben Morgan, Joel Houston and many more. Since 1992, the group has received gold and platinum album status multiple times, writing well known worship songs such as "Shout To The Lord", "Inside Out", "Hosanna", "The Stand" and “Mighty to Save,” which was awarded the 2009 Dove for Worship Song of the Year. ALL tickets for Hillsong LIVE will be $25.

Up and coming teen pop sensation Austin Mahone will take the Fair by storm on Friday, Aug. 9. The 16-year-old’s loyal fans, "Mahomies, " have followed his path to stardom since 2011, helping him sell out venues across the country. He’ll continue performing to sell-out crowds this summer when he joins Taylor Swift on tour. Mahone’s first single, "11:11", lit up the radio, with other hits "Say Somethin’" and "Say You’re Just a Friend" following closely behind. Another newcomer to the scene, rapper, singer, song-writer and web sensation Jake Miller will open the 7 p.m. show. Tickets for Austin Mahone with Jake Miller will be $35 and $25.

All Main Stage tickets INCLUDE FAIR ADMISSION when purchased prior to entering the Fair Park.
