Surviving a Long Knight, MU Wins at Rutgers

PISCATAWAY, NJ (WITI) -- The Marquette Golden Eagles are still in the hunt for a Big East Championship, in the final season of the conference as it is currently constructed.  MU keeps that possibility alive by rallying past Rutgers on Tuesday night, 60 to 54.

Down by ten points at halftime, the Golden Eagles started to put together winning plays in the second half, while the Scarlet Knights showed why they are now 3 and 14 in league games.  Vander Blue led the way for the winners with 22 points, and his three pointer tied the game at 52.  Moments later, Jamil Wilson connected from long range to break the tie and Marquette was on its way.

The Golden Eagles conclude their regular season Saturday at St. Johns.
