Racine County seeing nearly two inches of snow, wet roadways

RACINE CO. (WITI) -- Another round of snow is sweeping across southeast Wisconsin Tuesday, March 5th. At this time, a winter storm WARNING is still in effect for Racine, Kenosha, Walworth and Jefferson Counties until midnight.

In Racine County the snow started falling around 8:00 a.m. -- and as of 11:00 a.m. residents in that area saw one-and-a-half to two inches of snow.

Officials say the main roadways in Sturtevant are clear of snow, but are wet, and traffic is flowing steady. No major accidents have been reported. The morning commute didn't seem to be a huge issue for motorists -- but the drive home may pose a slick commute for drivers.

It looks like the best chance for moderate to heavy snow falls between late morning and the late afternoon.

Luckily, unlike the system last week, it looks like Lake Michigan will not have as much of an impact but only add a little to totals in the east.

If you must drive during the storm please be prepared:
