Officials investigating bomb threat at Cedar Grove-Belgium H.S.

SHEBOYGAN COUNTY (WITI) -- Sheboygan County Sheriff's officials say a bomb threat was made to Cedar Grove-Belgium High School in Sheboygan County Wednesday evening, March 6th.

School officials deemed the threat credible enough that they notified the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office, who in turn asked for assistance from the Milwaukee Sheriff’s Office’s bomb squad.

The bomb squad searched the school and found no trace or signs of any explosive device, and no one was hurt.

The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office received the call about the bomb threat occurred at 2:43 p.m.  After school activities still took place as planned.

The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office plans to have extra patrols and officers at the high school Thursday morning as students arrive for classes.

There is no word on whether they have identified a suspect in the bomb threat.
