Lambkin accused of sexual assault, bound over for trial

RACINE (WITI) -- 60-year-old Robert Lambkin, the Racine man accused of sexually assaulting a young girl, waived his right to a preliminary hearing on Wednesday, March 6th. The court also ruled there was enough evidence to bind Lambkin over for trial.

Lambkin is charged with first degree sexual assault of a child.  He has returned to his Racine home near Flett Avenue and Washington Avenue.  His house is right next door to his alleged victim’s.

A criminal complaint says the victim was in an alley between the two homes when Lambkin approached her and started talking.  It says he then unzipped the girl’s jacket and placed his hands on her chest.

Lambkin allegedly told police that he put his hands inside the girl’s blouse, but he didn’t think the girl noticed.

As condition’s of his release, Lambkin is on electronic monitoring, his window shades must stay drawn, and he can’t leave his house if the girl is outside.

Lambkin will be back in court on Wednesday, March 13th to enter a plea to the charge he faces.
