35-year-old man arrested for battery, disorderly conduct

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police have arrested a 35-year-old Milwaukee man for battery and disorderly conduct after he fought with a security guard at the Wisconsin DOT service center, located in the 7000 block of N. Teutonia Ave. Monday, March 11th.

Police say the incident began around noon Monday when DMV employees asked the suspect to leave after he refused to turn down the volume of the music he was listening to.

Police say a 21-year-old security guard employed by the mall where the service center is located attempted to intervene, however the suspect began to physically fight with the security guard.

The guard was injured as a result of the fight, however he did not seek medical attention during the investigation.

The suspect will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office for possible charges.
