Woman thrown from vehicle in rollover crash near Plymouth

SHEBOYGAN CO. (WITI) -- A 32-year-old woman was thrown from her vehicle in a rollover crash on Highway 57 near Plymouth on Tuesday afternoon, March 19th.

The wreck happened just after 3 p.m. south of Sumac Rd. on Highway 57 in the Town of Lyndon. Witnesses say the victim's vehicle was southbound when the driver lost control on the snow-covered and slippery roadway, entered the median and rolled over.

The victim was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Grafton. From there, she was flown by Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa.

There were two children traveling as passengers in this incident. They were not hurt in the crash.

Investigators tell FOX6 News wind and blowing snow made the roads in some parts of Sheboygan County rather difficult to drive. They say for the most part, the roads are safe. But drivers should be aware of snowy patches that could pose a hazard.
