Beyond the Game: Kenosha star basketball player Sidney Cooks

KENOSHA (WITI) -- Sidney Cooks is a sight to behold. She is a woman among girls on the court -- so it is no wonder colleges from all over the country have visited Kenosha to watch her play. From Michigan State to Kansas State -- and Purdue even offered her a full scholarship.

Here's the catch: Cooks is a 14-year-old eighth-grader at Washington Middle School!

Cooks' coach, Brian Zielsdorf has been around the game awhile. He says Cooks is the best eighth-grader in America -- bar none!

Cooks' parents, Jimmy and Sonya say it is fun to be a part of this remarkable ride and see their daughter succeed.
