Man arrested after threatening phone call to Coggs Center

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- 54-year-old Anthony Davis of Milwaukee was arrested Thursday, March 21st after he allegedly made a threatening phone call to an employee at Marcia Coggs Human Services.

According to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office, Davis threatened to "shoot up the agency" during a phone call to the center Wednesday, March 20th because he was upset that his FoodShare benefits had been revoked.

According to the sheriff's office, Davis has an extensive criminal history that includes convictions for burglary, battery, carrying a concealed weapon, resisting/obstruction an officer, false imprisonment, possession of THC, manufacture of cocaine and a felon in possession of a firearm.

Davis has been booked into the County Correctional Facility-Central for unauthorized use of a telephone.
