MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee Archbishop Jerome Listecki was on hand at the House of Peace Tuesday morning, March 26th -- handing out Easter hams to families in need.

100 families got everything they need for an Easter dinner. Without it, many families would be forced to go without on the Holy holiday.

Archbishop Listecki says this time of year, we all should count our blessings.

"Any of the religious holidays and feasts whether it be Thanksgiving, Christmas or even Easter kind of reminds us of our responsibilities and kind of focuses on family. It's a reminder to the rest of us that we have a responsibility to take the gifts that we have that have been bestowed on us and to share them with others. Simple aspects but it means so much," Archbishop Listecki said.

Archbishop Listecki also took the time to say a blessing for families and the House of Peace.
