41-year-old man killed in motorcycle crash near 60th and Carmen



MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A Milwaukee man died Friday morning, March 29th after crashing his motorcycle during an early morning ride with a group of friends.

The crash happened at 60th and Carmen on the city's north side around 1 a.m.

According to police, 41-year-old Lamar Dunson of Milwaukee was killed when the motorcycle that he was operating struck a Chevy Cavalier driven by a 21-year-old Milwaukee woman.

It is believed that Dunson was racing other motorcycles at the time of the crash.

Family members and friends tell FOX6 News that Dunson recently got the bike and was out with two other friends enjoying the warmer weather.

Witness April Egerton's heart is heavy after witnessing the fiery crash that killed Dunson.

"I saw it out my front room window. We saw the explosion and the flames -- it was the scariest thing I've every seen," Egerton said.

A 40-year-old Milwaukee man who was operating a 1999 Yamaha motorcycle was also injured.

He was conveyed to a local hospital where he is being treated for what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

While authorities investigate the cause, loved ones are left to mourn the 41-year-old father of four.
