McClelland sentenced to one year in jail, three years probation

RACINE CO. (WITI) — Michael McClelland, the man who pleaded no contest in a Racine Co. court to three felony counts of exposing a child to harmful descriptions in February, was sentenced to one year in jail and three years probation Monday, April 1st.

McClelland first faced a charge of first-degree child sex assault and two other felonies. Those were dismissed on Monday, February 18th in exchange for amended charges.

McClelland was accused of having inappropriate communications with a pre-teen girl in Mount Pleasant in July 2012. McClelland admitted to police that he sent the girl explicit messages to her iPod Touch — and that at one point, he had touched her under her shirt.
