DOT: I-94 WB exit to Highway 100 North closed

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- On Monday, April 8th, the I-94 Westbound exit to Highway 100 North will be closed.

The ramp was supposed to be shut down on Saturday night, but that closure was delayed because of the rain.

A DOT spokesperson told FOX6 News a contractor will finish switching traffic on Highway 100 Sunday night. When complete, all four lanes of Highway 100 will be on the southbound (west) side of the road.

On Monday night (weather permitting), the right lane will be closed eastbound on Bluemound Road at 84th Street until mid-April for utility work.

Bluemound Road will be crossed over overnight to the westbound side of the roadway between 111th and 104th Street for staged construction until late summer of 2013.

The right lane will be closed at Highway 100 northbound and southbound from I-94 to Watertown Plank Road for barrier wall work.

On Tuesday night, Watertown Plank Road will be crossed over to the eastbound side of the roadway between Innovation Drive and Union Pacific Railroad for staged construction until late summer of 2013.

The right lane will be closed overnight on Highway 100 northbound and southbound from I-94 to Watertown Plank Road for barrier wall work.

For a detour, the Wisconsin DOT says drivers should use Northbound US 45 and get off at the Bluemound Road or Wisconsin Avenue exit.
