Brewers top Padres, 6-3 and extend winning streak to 9

SAN DIEGO (WITI) -- The Milwaukee Brewers are riding high after winning their ninth consecutive game on Tuesday evening, April 23rd. They topped the Padres at San Diego, 6-3.

The scoring for the Brewers started early once again. In the first inning, Ryan Braun grounded out but drove in Jean Segura. San Diego fired back in the bottom half of the frame -- with two runs of their own.

In the second inning, the Crew lit it up -- hitting San Diego for five runs. Among the big sticks in that inning were Jonathan Lucroy, who hit a two-run double in that second inning.

For his part, starter Yovani Gallardo pitched 6 2/3 innings, allowing three runs and eight hits. After the second inning, the Padres couldn't drive anything home.
