Milwaukee police investigate two separate shooting incidents

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Milwaukee police are investigating two separate shooting incidents that occurred Thursday night, April 25th and early Friday morning, April 26th.

The first shooting incident occurred near 17th and Meinecke around 10:45 p.m. According to police, a 14-year-old male was was shot in the back while being robbed by three male suspects.

Officials say the victim and three of his cousins argued with the suspects earlier at a nearby gas station about which group could sell marijuana there.

The second incident occurred near 40th and Clarke at approximately 2:00 a.m. According to police, a 24-year-old man was walking from his parked car to a residence when two males approached him and shot him in each leg with a handgun.  The suspects ran off.

Both victims were transported to local hospitals where they are in stable condition.  Detectives are investigating these incidents.

No suspects are in custody for either case at this time.
