Man, 4-year-old boy shot, injured in unrelated incidents

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police are investigating two unrelated shootings that occurred Tuesday night, April 30th.

The first incident occurred near N. 36th and W. Garfield at 8:50 p.m. According to officials, a 56-year-old man suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound while at a family barbeque. The man was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The suspect, who was not at the gathering, fled the scene on foot.



The second incident occurred near N. 40th and Chambers around 10:14 p.m. According to police, a 4-year-old child suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound while playing with his siblings on the sidewalk in front of their home.

The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction following the incident.
