David Tarlo charged with possession of child pornography

LAKE GENEVA (WITI) -- David Tarlo of Lake Geneva is facing five counts of possession of child pornography. This, after officials found images of child pornography on a computer used by Tarlo.

According to the Criminal Complaint, a computer reportedly used by Tarlo was turned over to the Department of Justice – Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) after images consistent with child pornography were discovered on the computer.

A DCI criminal analyst reported that most of the pictures of child pornography located on the computer were viewed in November and December of 2009 and in March of 2011, according to the complaint.

In an interview with a DCI special agent, Tarlo admitted to recognizing some of the images found on the computer and admitted to searching for “young girls” on the Internet.

A preliminary hearing in this case is scheduled for Friday, May 10th in Walworth County.
