Officials investigate apartment fire near 52nd & Center

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Officials are investigating after a small fire broke out in the kitchen of a vacant apartment near 52nd and Center early Wednesday morning, May 8th.

According to officials, the fire was contained to one apartment and no injuries were sustained.

The fire caused an estimated $5,000 in damage to the building and $1,500 in damage to contents.

The cause of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation.
