Help police identify scrap metal thieves in Milwaukee



MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The Milwaukee Police Department is seeking information on the identity of the suspects responsible for the May 19th theft of scrap metal that happened between 8:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. at a business near 60th and Florist.



The suspects drove up to the gate in a black Chevy pick-up truck, crawled under the fence and cut the lock on the gate. They then drove the truck into the yard and loaded it with various pieces of metal, including lawn mowers, a metal shelving unit, a metal rack, and other items. The suspects then drove from the yard with the stolen items and retuned three subsequent times to reload the truck.

Suspect #1 is a black male, 5'8" to 6'0", 220 to 240 lbs., black hair, medium complexion, wearing a tan hooded sweatshirt, a dark blue shirt, blue jeans, white tennis shoes and brown gloves.

Suspect #2 is a black male, 220-240 lbs., possibly bald, light complexion, wearing a white baseball cap, a white hooded sweatshirt, a tan, purple and white shirt, jeans and tan work boots.

Suspect #3 is driving the truck and can only be described as black, heavy build, wearing a red short sleeve shirt.
