HARTLAND (WITI) -- The Kentucky Derby and Steeple Chase are both nationally-known horse events -- but in Wisconsin, at a historic farm in Hartland, riders train for a lesser-known discipline: equitation. Two young Mukwonago sisters are taking the sport by storm, along with their four-legged partners, "Oh What a Feeling" and "Royal Tryst."

The sisters will compete next week at the prestigious Midwest Charity Show in Illinois, and will continue through October with shows locally and regionally, including the World Championships in Louisville, Kentucky.

FOX6 Sports Photojournalist Mickie Leach takes you "Beyond the Game."

Yay! Saddlebreds are some of the most amazing horses. They are beautiful, smart, kind, and athletic. Along with that, saddleseat is a very difficult discipline to master, despite not being very popular. The teamwork involved in saddleseat equitation is inspiring!
