Six seniors ID'd in school bus vandalism case in Muskego

MUSKEGO (WITI) -- Police say they have identified six Muskego High School seniors who were involved in vandalizing 60+ school buses in the Muskego-Norway School District on Thursday, June 6th.

According to police, 61 out of 63 school buses at the Lamers Bus Company had the air let out of one tire. Officials say the tires were not slashed or damaged. Nearly half of the buses also had "2013" written on the windshields and back windows with soap -- leading them to believe it was a senior prank.

While the tires were reinflated and windows washed relatively easily and quickly, the bus company indicated the significant delay came because each bus needed to be checked over to make sure nothing else was wrong. Bus company workers checked hoses, cables and whatever else was exposed -- that could have been tampered.

Police suspect three of the six seniors involved in the bus incident may also be involved in an incident that happened early on Tuesday, June 4th. Derogatory words and obscene drawings were left on Muskego H.S. with chalk and window soap. This was able to be cleaned off by school personnel prior to the start of class. Students were not affected.
