Brewers get 1st shut out of the season in win over the Reds

CINCINNATI (WITI)--- It took until game 67 of the 2013 baseball season for the Milwaukee Brewers to get a shut out as they beat the Cincinnati Reds 6-0 Saturday.

Yovani Gallardo pitched 6 scoreless innings, striking out 5 earning his 6th win of the season. The bullpen then kept the Reds from scoring the next 3 innings.

Offensively, Logan Schafer was the key for the Brewers offense. He was 3-4 with 2 runs batted in and 2 runs scored. His 2 run double in the 6th capped off the Brewers scoring.

Juan Francisco homered for the first time as a Brewer in the 5th.

The win was the Brewers first in Cincinnati since September 26, 2012.

They'll go for the series win on Sunday.
