Beyond the Game: Bucks Head Coach Larry Drew

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- On Father's Day, it seems fitting that new Milwaukee Bucks Head Coach Larry Drew might have a chance to succeed where his predecessors fell short because, according to a source close to the situation, he's an MVP as a dad!

Drew doesn't buy into the old school theory that a coach can't have a personal relationship with his players. For the 55-year-old former NBA player-assistant and head coach, it's quite the contrary.

While Drew's methods may seem like madness to old school coaches, he believes they yield positive results.

It's early, but Bucks players who have met him, as well as draft prospects, seem to like what Drew brings to the table off the court as well as on it.

Drew's wife, Sharon Drew believes in what her husband of 27 years does because of a constant: the way he has raised three sons who range in age from 16 to 23.

Drew says he is excited to be in Milwaukee, and is looking forward to taking the reigns of this Bucks team.
