Illinois man could face charges in fatal Walworth Co. crash

WALWORTH COUNTY (WITI) -- Walworth County Sheriff's officials say a Woodstock, Illinois man was arrested following a fatal crash in the Town of Walworth on Saturday, June 15th.

Officials say the crash occurred just before 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, and involved a Jeep and a tree.

The crash occurred on Cobblestone Road west of the Linn-Walworth Town Line Road in the Town of Walworth.



Officials say a Jeep was traveling westbound on Cobblestone Road when it left the road and struck a tree.

There were four passengers in the vehicle when this crash occurred.  The alleged driver is identified as 24-year-old Daniel Consolo of Woodstock, IL.

Passengers included 22-year-old Kevin Green of Fontana, and twin brothers, 21-year-old Adam and Ryan Szudarski of Wonder Lake, Illinois.

Green was taken by ambulance to the hospital, and then transported to a Milwaukee-area hospital via Flight for Life, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Ryan Szudarski had no apparent injuries -- according to officials. His brother, Adam, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Consolo has serious injuries, and is in the hospital. He will be seen for an initial bond hearing when he is medically cleared to do so.

Charges of OWI - homicide and causing injury by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle have been referred to the District Attorney's Office.
