Car ends up in Marcus Center circle drive after crash

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Milwaukee police say a car ended up in the circle drive of the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts following a crash on Monday morning, June 17th.

It happened near the intersection of N. Water Street and E. State Street.

Police say a motorist on Water Street was trying to beat a traffic signal and was still in the intersection when a westbound vehicle on State Street struck the vehicle on Water Street.

Police say the car that was struck ended up in the Marcus Center circle drive — where some had to be extricated.

One person in the car that was struck was taken to the hospital.
