Coast Guard to search water in Kenosha through the night

KENOSHA (WITI) -- Kenosha police responded Monday, June 17th to a report of a man in the water near North Pier in Kenosha.

The Coast Guard and Kenosha Fire Department also responded. The Fire Department ended up terminating its search at nightfall -- due to darkness, but the Coast Guard continued its search.

Kenosha FD Battalion Chief Ken Schroeder says three people were initially in the water, and two were able to get out of the water. One man did not, and he has not been located.

Rescue crews continued to search the choppy water Monday evening, in very windy conditions.

The Coast Guard planned to search through the night on Monday.
