Police say woman may have pushed another woman off porch

SHEBOYGAN (WITI) -- A 43-year-old Grafton woman sustained serious internal injuries after police say she may have been pushed from a second story porch Sunday night, June 16th. A 38-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the incident.

According to police, the incident occurred in the 1500 block of South 8th Street at approximately 11:10 p.m.

The 43-year-old woman was taken to the hospital for treatment of her injuries.

During the initial response, officers had received information that another woman was involved in the woman's fall from the porch. That woman reportedly fled the scene following the incident, but was later located in the 1400 block of South 8th Street.

The 38-year-old woman was taken into custody without incident.

After further investigation, police discovered that the 38-year-old woman was involved in the cause of the fall -- and may have pushed the woman off the porch. The 38-year-old woman was subsequently charged with reckless injury.

Officials believe alcohol was a factor in the incident.

The 38-year-old woman was transported to the Sheboygan County Detention Center where she is awaiting formal charges from the District Attorney's Office.
