Three firefighters injured battling blaze on N. 34th Street

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Fire officials on Wednesday night, June 26th were on the scene of a two-alarm fire at a home on N. 34th Street in Milwaukee.

It happened near 34th and Wright.

Fire crews arrived on the scene shortly before 8:00 p.m. and found all three levels of a duplex on fire.

Three firefighters were injured as a result of the fire. One sustained a burn to the leg, one injured their knee and one suffered from heat exhaustion.

Officials say two homes suffered siding damage as a result of this fire.

No one else was injured.

Officials are still working to determine what caused the fire. Officials have said the fire caused $185,000 in damage, and rendered the duplex a total loss.

Red Cross were on the scene Wednesday night to assist displaced residents.
